Please Donate to Fight Cancer (while simultaneously making me ride a bike for 90 miles)

This October, Stephanie and I will ride in the Austin Livestrong Challenge. It's a bike ride (or walk, or run if that's more your style) to raise money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which supports cancer patients, survivors and their families. It's a group that we've read up on and like (here's their 2008 annual report -- http://tinyurl.com/yg8hv6p -- if you're interested in how they spend the money that they raise. See page 5 for a very quick overview) and can help.

This involves us and it involves our friends. (That's you!) We'll schlep our bikes out to Texas in late October and ride them for 90 miles in cycling shorts. You say to yourself, "yeah, I can get behind the idea of Corey being in a different part of the country while he's wearing cycling shorts!" And then you make a donation to the LAF to make sure that happens. Or if you're in Austin... well, you're sort of out of luck in that department. The shorts are going to happen in your fine city. You'll probably want to make a donation in support of Stephanie's ride. She looks good in the darn things.

Shorts-jokes aside, I would be honored if you would help us raise money for this good cause. Cancer has hit both my friends and my family. Fighting it is expensive and complicated; the LAF and groups like it are doing their best to help, and they can use your support.
