I race to pick a fight with cancer. Even though it's tough to find people willing to donate to a US-Foundation here in Germany, I'm aiming to raise $9000, because I believe in the amazing work of the LAF.

I finished the LIVESTRONG Challenge Austin in 2006 and 2007. In 2008 I had a pretty spectacular crash into an iron fence: http://fightagainstcancer.blogspot.com/2008/11/health-update-ii.html

That's why I only managed to ride 1.3 miles before heading to the ER (fortunately, my cycling partner Leana went with me). Today, 6 months after the crash, I'm still working on getting back to normal, but I'm stubborn enough to finish the 2009 Austin Challenge.
